TIMELESS TRUTHS

The opening statement of A Course in Miracles, which has teachings from the Jesus Christ, reads - “Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.”

In the Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 2, Shloka 16, Lord Krishna teaches – “The unreal hath no being: the Real never ceaseth to be. The truth about these two has been perceived by the seers of Truth.” (Translation from Sadhu Vaswani’s The Bhagavad Gita: The Song of Life)

Guruji Krishnananda has taught that the whole Creation is made of Light, Consciousness or God. Without Maya we can see only Light. Maya is a gift. It is not a curse or a limitation. God gave us the faculty of #Maya through which we could see the Creation as He created it.

When #God created many beautiful earths, mountains, trees, butterflies, etc. we found that we could see only Light everywhere. Maya helps us see things as they are created. Everything is Light. Since Light is the Source of everything and Light is real, hence all the forms that emerge from #Light are also real.

Thus Creation is real, not an illusion. Guruji taught that to believe Creation as permanent is an illusion.

Creation and our life in it are as real as we want it to be.

William Shakespeare said this in his own way – “All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players; they have their exits and their entrances, and one man in his time plays many parts.”

The same timeless Truths are taught by Masters in different periods of Time or #Yugas. Such Truths remain the same for every human being throughout history irrespective of their cultural, social, religious, regional and gender identities. Immense gratitude to the#Spiritual Masters and my Spiritual Guide - Guruji Krishnananda.

Quotes from the Rishis - God Responds

“A mere wish, a mere prayer is enough, God responds. In Stillness, be aware of Him and send love. God is waiting to speak to us. He is ready to talk anytime, anywhere, about anything. Try to listen to Him.”

– Guruji Krishnananda

Quotes from the Rishis - Do not shun this world

“A Spiritual person does not shun this world or his responsibilities. He lives and loves life fully and has a positive influence on the world. A Spiritual person deals with upheavals with equanimity.”

Karmic Effect

“When you realize that you have committed a mistake, do not judge harshly and condemn yourself. Repent it deeply and decide never to repeat it. This will free you of the Karmic effect.” - Guruji Krishnananda

Balance the genders

As long as a special day has to be celebrated for women, it means that both the genders are not at par....there is no equality.

Women's Day does bring to the fore the terrible treatment women suffer in our troubled world. We indeed still need a Women's Day, however I eagerly look forward to the times when men and women celebrate and respect each other....on equal footing.

On Women's Day, I take great pride in saying that I am most influenced by all the men in my life....I thank them from the bottom of my heart......

I thank my father and other men in my family......they supported me and my brand of feminism;

I thank my husband who protects my individuality and supports me in keeping my maiden surname.....after my marriage I feel freer, stronger, and more balanced;

I thank my male friends, my back slapping buddies who gave me support, protection and treated me at par with them in every sphere of life;

I thank my favourite Deity - Lord Krishna - who is my backbone....

and I thank my Spiritual Guide - Guruji Krishnananda who treated me on equal footing with male disciples..... My Guruji made me value the feminine in me and not lose it in any attempt to stand-up against male chauvinism. My Guruji is the Source of my never ending strength in holding the fort of balance, harmony, Divine Love.....and not letting either of the genders dominate.

On Women's Day I thank all the men in my life. And wish that as male chauvinism reaches its end, a wave of female chauvinism does not begin.

Victory to balance of the genders; victory to harmony.....as depicted in the ancient Indian Ardhanareshwara symbol. God created male and female energies and established balance....let us not create imbalances.
